Foam & foam-enhanced systems

In certain scenarios such as warehouse distribution centres and fuel or oil storage areas, a wet sprinkler or deluge system can be enhanced with foam agent to form a blanket. This separates the ignition source from the surface of the fire.

There are different types of foam which can either change the properties of the water or to create a blanket as the foam expands. The most common types are AFFF or alcohol-resistant, low expansion foam.

For an enhanced system, the foam is added from a bladder tank using a proportioner or if there is not an existing sprinkler system then we can provide a self-contained foam system operated by cylinders.
